Annabelle ★½

What the fuck was that? One of the dumbest movies I have ever seen. This thing starts by setting up a Manson family type deal (this movie directly references the Tate-LaBianca murders, despite the fact that according to Wikipedia, it takes place in 1967, two years before they even happened) and then does nothing with it after 15 minutes, if even that. Then there's a pretty mediocre story with good performances from Annabelle Wallis and Alfre Woodard, but not much else. Honestly, this feels like a parody. It's not even scary; most of this is just bad jumpscares and creepy music! This had potential, but unfortunately, it was fucking wasted.
