This pretty much prequel to The Nice Guys is an awesome ride…
Now give us a real sequel Shane Black!

I’m a huge fan of his specific tone and there is no one in the business better at the buddy-cop comedy. His directorial debut is a great mystery told through a fun structure and perfectly entertaining dialogue. The meta narration is very knowing and I love how he includes elements of Christmas in so many of his films.

    I’m also…

    The Fugitive

Another entry in the Dad Canon Hall of Fame.

Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones are a legendary duo here. Doctor Richard Kimble (great name btw) is the vengeful surgeon on a mission. Ford shows off his movie star power in the role. He famously tore ligaments in his knee and refused surgery so that he could maintain the limp. What a beast. Tommy Lee Jones is also iconic for his Oscar winning role as the hilarious and over-the-top detective.…

Taking notes watching this in preparation for my dynasty run in the new NCAA football video game.

2000s college football includes some of the best teams we’ll ever see. It started with The U, moved over to this USC squad, went to the Tebow/Meyers Gators, and then was stolen by Saban’s Bama.

While this documentary includes some cheesy execution and isn’t as hype as it could’ve been, this team is legendary. An unknown Pete Carroll’s entry to the program is…

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

If only someone on the production team had the power to see the future…

Sony’s Spider-Man adjacent universe has been a failed experiment to say the least. It’s a shame because I’m a big fan of many of the members of the cast but this hacked to bits script is disastrous. The editing is disorienting (and not purposefully so), the exposition is composed of characters just talking to themselves (and lines of dialogue not even close to matching their mouths),…

One of the biggest achievements in cinematic history.

What Across the Spider-Verse is able to accomplish is absolutely unreal. With over 1,000 people on the crew (largest of any animated film in history), clocking in at 140 minutes (longest of any American animated film in history), every single frame is a piece of art

I am still in awe of this movie… somehow they manage to even improve the artwork from this first film with BEAUTIFUL colors, multiple worlds that…

    …dary. Legendary!

One of the greatest days in cinematic history. Watching this directly after seeing Oppenheimer is definitely both extremes of the business but enjoyable nevertheless.

Greta Gerwig is a special filmmaker and her impact oozes out of this movie. You can feel her writing in every line of dialogue and her directing of this movie is very impressive. The set design is unreal and the global pink shortage makes a lot of sense now. The choreography and music is…
