This movie has a way worse reputation than it deserves honestly. It’s really not bad, I enjoyed so much of it. I don’t think that it’s a top tier Dolan film but it still had heart and I liked it!! 

I think the plot gets muddled halfway through, but overall this was a really sweet story. I also had issues with the flashback via telling a story to a journalist storyline because it’s been done so many times. But this film explores celebrity culture, sexuality, loneliness & mommy issues in the beautiful way that he always makes his movies. The performances were great from everyone and I still adore his music choices. 

Also Kit Harrington kisses boys so like it can’t be that bad honestly.
