I think that what I love so much about this movie is that it’s filled with so much pain and trauma but it’s still focused on finding the beauty in life. These characters have all experienced so much hurt but they lean on each other for support, they use art and music and love to get through it all and make life better. I think that’s really important and comforting to see.
I love all of the actors in this because they’ve all done an amazing job of bringing these characters to life and making me feel like I know them. Logan Lerman was perfect as Charlie. He’s a character that I’ve always connected with and felt a deep empathy for.
I know this movie has been quoted so many times that it feels super cheesy now but ever since I first read the book as a teenager the line “in this moment, I swear we were infinite.” Really meant a lot to me. This whole movie means a lot to me.
