I can’t really defend liking this so much but Kaya Scodelario shoots zombies and it’s really fun.

I wish it had been longer cause I wanted to spend more time in the world they were establishing before everything popped off. I really liked the feel of it and the build up though. The lore is explored slowly so it’s not just exposition dumped all at once and everyone’s place in the story makes sense.Β

There are complaints that I understand…

an excellent feel good sports inspirational story AND a really engaging family drama. i think looking at the story through the lens of the patriarch is perfect and it's probably something I would do if telling my own story honestly. there's just something that really hits me about looking at a very flawed man and wondering if what he is doing for you is the right thing or not but also seeing him as this loving superhero. that really shapes how we see the world. really enjoyed this one and I probably could have watched even more of it.

this movie tormented my family because for years and years my dad thought that comedy had reached its peak with Frank the Pug and he would talk about him endlessly. took me 24 years to realize he was right.

    Dance With Me

It’s like someone bottled up what it means to be happy and then the bottle overflowed and spilled all over this film.Β

It takes all the best, more charming parts of road movies, musicals, and buddy comedies and shoves them together into a non-stop smile fest. Literally checks off every box in terms of what I enjoy the most in movies and I was grinning from the second it started all the way through the credits.Β

We need more fun, more color, more random dance numbers in our lives.
