hiruko’s review published on Letterboxd:
Under the guise of an investigative news program / documentary, this is how it’s done. Subtle and genuinely creepy without the need of any cheap scare tactics that plague so many movies of this category. The actors’ authentic and sobering performances nail the mood perfectly. My only critique are the odd plot twists that create a nagging disconnect in the narrative’s flow. Without spoiling anything, there are a few reveals that complicate the plot unnecessarily. Joel Anderson could have approached those scenes differently to get the same end result. Other than that, this film is close to perfection for fans of this genre.
