Saw this for the second time today. It truly is a solid film, way better than most in the MCU. It still has some of that marvel weird cheesyness that i can't put my finger on that i just can not stand, which is why it doesn't go all the way for me. But still, really solid. Truly entertaining. It has a really sharp and detailed script, which is unusual for marvel movies, so that's nice to see.
It's also just fantastic to see a film that unbashedly celebrates blackness and african cultures. It is in many ways a love letter to africa, on a blockbuster scale. And the main character may be a man, but this is a film largely about women. I'm so thankful for these 3 fantastic female characters that were written with such respect and detail.
