Scream ★★★★★

Almost 25 years later and "Scream" has aged better than director Wes Craven and writer Kevin Williamson likely could have known (still hard to believe Craven is no longer around to help influence the horror genre), in that the threat here is not a supernatural killer who haunts your dreams or the impersonal Shape of evil, but rather upper middle class, sexually-entitled young white men, a demo which impacts the national headlines more today than in the pre-Columbine era "Scream" was launched in.
