David Espinosa’s review published on Letterboxd:
Well, this was really really fun, I thought it wouldn't live up to its predecessor but I'm pleasantly surprised. I think I may have enjoyed this one even more than the first one (is not better though), and I had a great time.
What I loved the most about Scream 2 is that it's able to make a lot of fun of itself and of the first movie, while maintaining the great thriller atmosphere. The whole humor and meta-references we're some of my favorite things, and the opening scene is fantastic. You're already rooting for these characters and Wes Craven knows how to play with you're mind. It's like an implicit murder mystery, where you're constantly suspicious of everything, and it's amazing how the whole thing gets into your head; it makes it really entertaining!
Sidney Prescott is absolutely one of my favorite final girls.
