Chad Merrell’s review published on Letterboxd:
Superior in every way to its prequel, Bride of Frankenstein is creepy, funny, thought provoking, and has some dazzling sound design and special effects.
The script is wonderfully clever, presenting a sort of frame story for the sequel and convincing the audience to empathize with the monster that terrorized them previously (Y'all, without this film, we might not have Joker, which attempts something similar). Every moment is a surprise, and Lanchester's portrayal of the undead bride is so shocking and uncanny that it is iconic even though it's such a small part.
One of the best horror films that side of Psycho.
