    Man I still have a love/hate relationship with this movie LOL. Like half of me is convinced I could only enjoy and follow Maurice (1987) because I like the book, and I'm still conflicted af about why they had to undercut the romance with so much suffering for the queer characters and the happy ending with a depressing ending.

    I still feel like they just lifted page to screen (minus the changes) rather than succesfully adapt a book to screen.…
