The world does not deserve Robert Altman. I knew I'd dig this but I didn't expect the extent of which I loved it. Every single actor goes in to an insane degree and I bet you'll have a tough time picking a favourite. If you do some research you'd note that Altman was PTA's hero and biggest influence, especially early on in his career. I notice it a ton in BOOGIE NIGHTS but now SHORT CUTS has made me see MAGNOLIA as basically a remix of what Altman did here. This is just masterful mosaic filmmaking from beginning to end.
