Gorgeous depictions of the most horrific side of humanity. The cinematography is spectacular, showing an epic sense of scale contrasted with muddy bloody details. Every bullet would, bone crunch, or shovel in the face is painfully real and gruesome. The insane futility of the political bullshit remains inexcusably and maddeningly relevant.
