I mean I guess it was okay? I just didn't think it was anything special. I mostly had some trouble with getting behind the whole premise/setup. I mean, I'm all for suspending disbelief, but wasn't it kinda... stupid?
I think we can all agree on that Samara Weaving's performance was pretty top-notch, definitely the show stealer. But the overall movie I felt was rather predictable/formulaic. Nothing really stood out, I chuckled a few times but generally didn't find it all that funny. The ending was cool though, at least they ended on a bit of a high.
But besides that, perhaps I went in expecting too much based on a bunch of raving reviews, but for me it was a rather generic black comedy/horror/thriller outing. Not bad! Just not that special either.
