    The fact that I could watch this movie a second time by accident and not realize I had seen it before until it was over and I saw that I had reviewed it before speaks volumes as to its lack of originality.

    Things Heard & Seen

    The cinematic equivalent of starting to write in lettering too big for what you need to write and gradually trying to make each subsequent letter a little smaller.

    Words begin to overlap as the edge of the paper grows near. In a panic your text begins to tilt down towards the bottom of the page before finally admitting to yourself that, no matter how squished and illegible you have made the words, you still couldn't get it all in.

    I saw Parasite in its entirety last night and found it thoroughly unpleasant. The poor are depicted as heartless, self-interested and vicious jackals with no redeeming qualities (there isn't even much love depicted within the Kim family at the center of the film). Each time they receive a paycheck their default is to sit in their own filth and scheme as beer cans and empties pile up around them.

    Other than grifting they seem to have no passion or ambition.…

    The following may seem like no more than plothole nitpicking but the lack of thought that went into developing what was a promising and interesting premise pregnant with potential made for painful viewing and considerable disappointment. In the end, "Us" is just a generic horror film hiding behind the pretense of a profound political statement.
