  I really dislike the inclusion of real ghosts and ghouls into the canon...as much as I enjoy it being "scarier", it just changes the purpose and the direction. And why bring up that it's a plantation and there are Confederate zombies but not a single word about slavery ... and why cats. lol

  Shivers, seriously. Outstanding performances from everyone involved, a lot of emotional tension but balanced out with good action and a forward-moving plot (which is usually my issue with older movies). Really fantastic use of lighting and shadows of course, and just a fantastic movie. That singing scene especially towards the end really got me. Absolutely worth a watch.
