Elvin Elvis’s review published on Letterboxd:
I need to re-watch this film at least a thousand times, because it is just one of those movies.
On an aesthetic level, this movie is at least an 11/10. This is an extremely colorful film, best enjoyed when on a substance that may or may not be legal in your country of residence. Sooooo much symbolism exists in this film, and every scene was made to LOOK great. Even the scene where he shits in a glass bowl is phenomenal to the eye.
On a story level, the film is not for everyone. But, if you are interested in symbolism and films that make you think for months after your original viewing, this is the one for you. Every scene has an interpret-able meaning, but what is really amazing is that your personal interpretation changes after viewing the movie more and more. What seems like a simple "don't be greedy" moral will open up in front of your face, adding more and more elements. Satire is present in an amazing way, something a movie has barely done so well for me.
