From the moment I stepped foot onto the parking lot black top after leaving my showing, I’ve been trying to find a way to talk about my feelings on this film in a way that gives nothing away, but I just can’t. There’s no good way to describe anything that happens without giving something away, and this is a film you should go into as blindly as possible for sure.
All I’ll say is that I think the last film that made me say “WTF” internally this many times was Midsommar. I was on the edge of my seat, leg shaking from anxiety, and stressed out basically the whole way through. Definitely a film I’ll be thinking about for a while.
(And shoutout to THAT sudden cutaway and tonal shift. 💀)
