Marcy Webb’s review published on Letterboxd:
kinda feel like the Perfect Blue-ray packaging totally misses the point of the film - revealing Mimi’s breasts when you remove the disc. It’s exactly the exploitative, male gaze crap (that seems to be the definition of the western perception of anime) that this film tries to work against. Mimi (and also the best interests of her publicist) never wants to be exploited - it’s her other identitites and wanting to be successful in this industry that forces her to make those sacrifices
DID? not me. dissociation? it me!
