Second watch really helped with my thoughts on the movie as a whole. It’s easily Nolan’s most flawed movie (excluding TDKR) yet arguably his most impressive movie from a technical aspect. It’s almost Michael Bay/Zach Snyderesque levels of ignoring substance for spectacle and I’m not ashamed to say I loved every second of it.
Cast was delightful even though I wish they had more meat to chew on. Kenneth Branagh really went for it lol, it was a miss more than a hit for the most part but serviceable nonetheless.
Hopefully his next movie will actually have decent sound mixing, cause I’m only watching his future movies with subtitles for now on.
