Rewatching Midsommar was exciting because I was able to notice new things that made the film all the more interesting, but in some ways it was more nerve-wracking than the first time; when watched it for the first time, I was nervous because I didn’t know what was going to happen next - this time I was nervous because I did.
Ari Aster is nothing short of a genius. He knows how to bring the best out of actors, and how to translate chillingly personal ideas into complete stories that have the ability to disturb and gratify.
