Jay Wood’s review published on Letterboxd:
This film is just a scattershot, like an arrow that has split in the air into many other tiny arrows, and they don’t hit all their targets- but it’s such an incredible shot and result that I am just awed and happy it exists!
The music has some bangers and some cringe, but the emotional peaks of this film does things with music that no other musical film even got close to this year.
Simon Helberg is unbelievable in his small moments and nearly steals the entire show.
One of the finest and most daring experiments of the year, earns a place amongst my best of 2021 list, which you can find below!
What did I miss, do you agree?
