Opening this year’s Hooptober the way it is meant to be: with a Tobe Hooper flick! Definitely a different vibe than the original. It opens up and feels a bit more “poppy” than its predecessor but gets pretty deranged quite quickly. I preferred the front half of action but gotta love a chainsaw duel.
Funny that this came out the same year as Blue Velvet. Great year for manic Dennis Hopper performances.
