Gus Johnson’s review published on Letterboxd:
Marvel has made an effort to keep the universe fresh with each film a different genre. Winter Soldier, Guardians, Black Panther all diverged but recently the energy seemed to be lacking and things like Far From Home and Black Widow felt blander. Zhao has taken these obscure, almost unfathomable characters and done her best to reignite the MCU films. Yes it is like no other Marvel film but there are actual moments of humor and grandiosity while balancing a large cast of deities. The dynamic works whether there are one on one relationships or the group when they are divided or fighting their enemies united. And an actual sex scene in a Marvel film! Whoa! The baddies had some interesting design, a bit more colorful and textured rather than the standard blob.
