Ian Bulaclac’s review published on Letterboxd:
I knew this movie would be good, but didn't expect it to be this much fun. 2016 is just another great year in terms of child performances. You can add Julian Dennison who plays Ricky to that list. His character did remind me of Morris from this year's Morris from America. They both like hip hop culture and both are trying to find their place while living in an area they're not used to.
What makes this film fun is the two leads and their bond with each other. While at the same time the manhunt they're in is just fun to watch. If you have hope that Taika Waititi can direct a Marvel film, watch this one. It proves that he can tackle any genre as long as it has his usual humor in it.
Don't miss this one. One of my new favorites of the year.
