If you're looking for a good documentary about Bettie Page this is not it. The wikipedia page for her gives you more information about her life than this. Nope, this is a cursory look at her while also finding excuses to toss in clips of as many boobs as possible and talk about pin-ups, burlesque, and porn unrelated to Bettie.

Adaptation. 2002
So I knew this was going to be a lot different from the book as I really couldn't understand how they were going to make it into a movie. Laroche was already a wild character in the book and I wanted a lot more of him and a lot less Kaufman. I also don't think they needed to change Orlean so much. She may now love the character version of her but I didn't really. That said there were some really funny moments in this.

Freaks 1932
I was prepared for this to be much more exploitive of the "freaks" than it was. I wish the unedited version was out there somewhere because I found this actually very compelling and wanted more of it. The only thing that irks me is apparently this was once considered horror and there is no horror about it. These are real people who were ostracized from society and found love and acceptance in their own world and I think the film shows that very well especially for the time.
