    Aquaman

Oh my god I am so flustered by this movie I have no idea what to even rate it I mean it’s kind of a massive joke and it’s way too long and the dialogue is hilarious but it’s so off the wall nuts that it never ceases to be entertaining despite the story literally just being black panther in reverse but with giant crabs and sharks fighting eachother I genuinely thought I was losing my mind oh my god my brain

  • Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa

    Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa

    ★★★★★

Madagascar 2 Escape from mort is an important, seminal film. First off, the emotion wow. The themes of racism hit hard (where something like black kkklansmen did not). First off, the love triangle between gloria, moto moto and melman is striking and honest. When melman (swimmer) finds gloria making out with moto moto his heart is crushed. Oh and we can’t forget about the penguins, who are back and just as epic as ever. The boss baby voices the villian,…

  • Mission: Impossible – Fallout

    Mission: Impossible – Fallout

    ★★★★

Not nearly as impressive on the small screen. Still fun as hell though.

  • The Happytime Murders

    ★½

Lazy, dull, unfunny. Has no mood, character or atmosphere mostly because of the lighting and atrocious music choice. The puppets have no rules. The story is okay at times but the humour drags it down into the gutter. I really liked the performance of the main puppet voice actor, that's about it though. Just watch Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

The Ice Age cameo helped me decide on four stars instead of 3.

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

I burst into tears once the film ends on “Fin”

Basically a 150 million dollar syfy movie.

  • Mysterious Skin

    Mysterious Skin

    ★★½

I like most of how it is shot: close, intimate and uncomfortable. It’s unflinching attempt to accurately depict the horrors of the subject matter, and the psychological results it can have on a person, are noble to say the least. However the majority of performances (especially from every child actor) are tremendously awkward and mostly unconvincing, with the talented actors being hindered by the corny on the nose dialogue. There are a couple of solid, well executed dramatic scenes that…
