No chemistry between anyone in this film it’s outstanding to watch.

i implore you to watch this film and keep an open mind. one of few films to actually change the way i think. beautiful!

  • Bohemian Rhapsody

    Bohemian Rhapsody

it is my full belief that this movie was made only to be a spectacle, and a very disrespectful one at that. it’s just not good in my opinion.

  • Prey

  • Kaboom

greg araki's timeline of films make next to no sense. from mysterious skin to smiley face and then this...
i enjoyed it a lot but i don't know if i was laughing with or at the characters. i dont think the movie even knew.

    edit: oh and the WARDROBE!!

  • Mysterious Skin

    Mysterious Skin

Greg Araki reached final form with this one. The tenderness with which the characters are handled is especially appreciated, as amongst the horrifying subject matter…their innocence is never convoluted or compromised. This story knows what it wants to say.
For me, it’s about the unavoidable urge to face your problems head on, and allowing yourself the opportunity to change.
This film really hit home for me. The close ups were so effective that at times i would back away from the screen, deliciously uncomfortable with just how close I was being drawn in.
Insanity. So special and so hard to watch.

    Uncut Gems

    not my cup of tea.
although julia fox is incredibly fascinating to me. she stole every scene.

  • Hairspray

while i can respect it’s originality and daring for the time and context it was made…this is what happens when white people make movies about segregation. i literally guffawed at some of the comments made by ricki lake from the movie hairspray.

2007 is superior but still amiss. maybe a remake that centres the black characters would be cool? hairspray has this amazing energy of wholesome urgency at a time where the world is changing for the better, and i feel like it hasn’t had it’s due yet. yet to reach a final form.
