Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings ★★½

The wrinkles around Michelle Yeoh and Tony Chiu-Wai Leung's eyes do more acting than the rest of the cast combined, which is a shame given the talented cast.

Also, it's really incredible to me how Marvel movies' visual quality has just declined and declined with each installment. They're notorious for their bland color grading and color palettes, but the overall color palette here is actively bad. And if that wasn't enough, the lighting is bad, the keying is awful and even the actual CGI itself is decidedly underwhelming. It's honestly mystifying how such a tightly controlled franchise (and one built on spectacle at that) is allowed to have such an amateurish visual execution.
