Makoto Shinkai finally impresses me with his latest film! Having seen two of his other work so far, I have been kind of disappointed. Both of his previous work had stellar animation work yet the story lacked a lot too. But at last, he created one I loved!
Your Name or Kimi No Na Wa is animation at some of its highest points, even Disney could learn a thing or two from this.
At first I was a bit hesitant because the story felt very familiar, but it turned out to be something that I totally did not expect at all.
An emotional and extremely fresh look at animation. An absolute gem!
