As someone who has been in a somewhat similar situation (panhandling and living homeless with a crew of people in Hawaii as a teen), this movie rang achingly true. Their activities, conversation, ultimately superficial friendships...the communal aspect was beautifully depicted, the characters seemed like so many people whose names I can no longer remember.
Definitely stirred some stuff up for me and viscerally reminded me of a time I can scarcely imagine reliving. Could have been significantly shorter, which is what knocks it down for me, but I otherwise enjoyed this movie.
