I sincerely believe that to see good films is one of the most profoundly civilizing experiences we can have as people.

A surprisingly great sequel. Gene Hackman is fucking incredible.

Surprisingly amazing! I had low expectations for this, but ended up really enjoying it. Strong performances with great music that adds a 2020’s Gen Z spin to the original story. This version’s Cady isn’t as believable as a truly mean girl toward the end, but it’s just cause she seems so nice lol. Reneé Rapp and Auli’i Cravalho absolutely kill in their musical numbers (and their speaking scenes too).

This movie is really only concerned with killing nazis and I’m okay with that. Short, sweet, and to the ultra-violent point.

Martin McDonagh knows how to do dark, existential comedy so well, it hurts. Literally. His movies actually pain me sometimes, but dammit if I don't love them.

A beautifully tragic story about friendship, loss, and the desire to give meaning to our existence. I will be thinking about this movie for a long time. The performances from everyone here are Oscar-worthy. Farrell and Gleeson have the most amazing chemistry of any two male actors, maybe ever. Kerry Condon shines as Siobhan, the level-headed, quick-witted sister. And Barry Keoghan is as odd as ever, yet shockingly profound.

    Incredible film, all around.
