Wow that was bad.
In fact, this movie was probably one of the most unnecessary ones I've ever seen.
It's essentially just a remake/reimagination/reboot, whatever you wanna call it, of Escape From New York, which is a fantastic film. Same premise, same plot, same everything.
Different city though. A less interesting one too.
And this time around, you're confronted with a really half assed performance by Kurt Russell an annoying Steve Buscemi and some of the worst - WORST - CGI and use of greenscreen, that you could ever imagine.
This puts blocky PlayStation 1 graphics to shame. It's ridiculous and laughable.
But you know what? Despite all my criticism towards it, I still had fun.... sometimes.
And I don't even know why. I'm trying to think of something good to say about it to justify my mention of fun. But damn. Nothing comes to mind. Maybe I was just in the right mood for some trash.
Still, I'll probably never watch this again. Avoid it.
