there's one moment in this movie where the people being interviewed get mad about 9/11 happening, not cause they're sad about 9/11, but because they were angry that the news wouldn't cover their own stories because THE NEWS WAS TOO BUSY COVERING 9/11. WHY IS THIS MAKING ME SO ANGRY

Abysmal. A failed attempt (borderline rip off at points) of a Mission: Impossible movie but devoid of any style or personality whatsoever. The lifelessness of the Russo Brothers does not translate out of the MCU, where they were only *somewhat* successful because the lack of artistic vision is required for that franchise. almost 30 feature length entries into this franchise and now it feels to me like the human brain can only really take in so many of these generic deep fried mega tentpole adventures before it starts to collapse in on itself and now they don’t really look like much of anything anymore and aren’t very distinguishable from each other regardless of content. i shouldn’t be zoning out every single movie during the most high energy fight scenes. this was fine! but are we done?

it's like that spongebob episode in which squidward drops a sofa leg on his foot and it excruciatingly pulls his toenail off except it's 99 minutes long
