disappointed to not love this :/ Trier seems to have set out to make a character that represents the aimlessness and malleability of being in your 20s but it’s as if he leaned so far into that idea that we’re just left with this hollow shell of a person whose inner life is so nebulous that you don’t know how to feel about anything that’s happening on screen. unfortunately too many “hashtag #relatable” millennial tropes and not enough actual personality
