Wally Styles’s review published on Letterboxd:
The Brave Little Toaster to the Rescue was the only one of these films I never saw as a child, and i don't regret that decision, but I do regret that I watched the Mars one over this film, as it's the better film. Though the animation is still weaker than the first film, there are so decent stand-out moments. Character-wise, the writing tries and succeeds at times with keeping some of the playful cattiness of the characters from the original movie, though most of the newer cast is pretty forgettable. Story-wise. this story succeeds where Mars failed by actually having stakes, and building up to them and delivering on them in a sort-of interesting way, even if it comes across as hand-wavey. Sadly, I do have to say that this was the weakest film musically, even with a reliance on golden oldies for half of the soundtrack. Overall, The Brave Little Toaster to the Rescue wasn't good, but it tried, which I can't say about all the films in this series, and I can at least respect that.
