They don't make em' like they used to.
This may be the first time that I was really impressed with a Malaysian film. It came out back in 2009 and it was Yasmin's final film before her death on that same year. Malaysian film industry nowadays is trash. It's heavily censored - can't tackle culture and religion subjects without getting criticised by religious whackos.
Now I can see why Yasmin Ahmad was beloved among the local film, art & theatre scene.
