Yea so I’ve been emotionally fucked up and anxious lately so I’m really thankful for Suspiria, as it turned out to be the perfect antidote to my problems. This two and a half hour masterwork is the exact kind of endless abyss that I love digging into - I can’t say I understood everything on a first watch, but I’m happy to scour the internet for the key to deeper knowledge. The intricate plot machinations and political allusions were a little tricky to follow, but the film had such a lucid emotional throughline that I don’t really care. Guadagnino has given me a new obsession that I can’t wait to watch again and again. Just so fucking beautiful and moving.
P.S. my mouth was actually agape during the finale. No words.
