Invincible Asia’s review published on Letterboxd :
Julian Arahanga looks back at Once Were Warriors, its making and its impact and assembles his on-screen family two decades after the film's premiere.
And it really feels like a family reunion at Temuera Morrison's house. Cliff Curtis couldn't make it though, so Julian visited him in Los Angeles (which feels almost appropriate in the family reunion context), but that doesn't diminish the impact, and there's a lot of additional insights from director Lee Tamahori and producer Robin Scholes (what made the latter want to make the film is the anecdote nightmares are made of).
