This is like an unholy cousin of the original version, aesthetically gorgeous but much less significant considering the script.
I know everybody loves Tilda Swinton, but how many characters did she performed in here? I counted three but probably missed someone. I don't despise it, but the makeup work made her look extremely fake in one of these characters.
This was definitely better than I expected, but honestly it's a brand new version, not a remake. This is great, Guadagnino did a great job and both the works complete each other.
Those last scenes were extremely unexpected, I just loved it. A truly outstanding work of direction by Luca Guadagnino that made me interested in his version of Scarface to be released.
