King Mejarito’s review published on Letterboxd:
Blood Diamond is a glaring and harrowing look on the Sierra Leone civil war. With a clear depiction on the horrors and violence, director Edward Zwick's documentary like approach put forth bold ideas and realities. Leonardo DiCaprio and Djimon Hounsou delivered strong performances, and the action scenes were shot well.
The bloody thing about this film is the topsy turvy storytelling - just exactly what are they trying to focus on? I think somewhere along the way they lost sense of what they really want to tell.
