the discourse surrounding this will remain a part of its history as much as its content. a product of its time in so many ways, good and bad.
that being said, i’ve never seen a movie, TV show, play, or musical more INTENTIONAL than hamilton — not a wasted line, breath, movement. the cinematography for this televised version mostly enhances this idea with little exception. objectively one of the most well-written things i’ve ever seen.
in terms of oscar potential: leslie odom jr. gives a once in a lifetime performance here, and i can SMELL the nomination
