This felt like a movie that was made just because a big Hollywood exec had some money lying around. Maybe I'm incapable of enjoying one-tone, "pure entertainment" movies anymore, or maybe this feature genuinely lacked any substance. I can wholeheartedly say that these are some of the worst performances of the year (seriously, I thought Ryan Gosling was famous for comedy!?), as well as the cheesiest, most vapid one liners I've heard in ages. I really enjoyed the production design and soundtrack, otherwise I would've fallen asleep (because it was way too long and convoluted to interest me in the slightest). Truly an awkward, useless piece.
