Loved it. Made me all warm and fuzzy. The bureaucracy was crazy but very funny. And most importantly to me the movie was patriotic in the best possible way - it put the citizens first. In what recent movie would you see a missile strike halted because a couple of people were in the way? From my far-off perspective, American patriotism ( and that's the most prevalent I see on screen) seems to be about power ( apologies to all that feel differently) - all that flag waving fervor is scary. This movie didn't offend/scare me like that. Bearing the generational scars of Nagasaki and Hiroshima has given the Japanese national psyche a perspective that we should listen to - and it had Godzilla! And train bombs! 5 stars
