• The House That Jack Built

    The House That Jack Built

I think rewatching it made it a little bit worse. It's just real too overlong. I like incident 1 & 2 more, than the other half, because it has more dark humor and is less brutal and psychotic.
And i really watched it with my mother and sister this time lmaooo

    I'll downrank it from 4.5/5 to 3.9/5

    Ocean's Thirteen

Rewatched it now for the thousandth time. Oceans 11 & 13 are for me the most rewatchable and most quotable movies. Maybe that's making them to my all time favorites. I don't know. But i need to watch them at least once in a year

  • Eyes Wide Shut

    Eyes Wide Shut

The discussion scene in the bedroom (in the first 30 minutes) is probably my favorite dialogue scene of all time omg
The whole topic is such an important and interesting one, which isn't explored enough in cinema history, but this film does it the best anyway

The cinematography is stunningly beautiful and the party sequence is haunting.

The movie is way more thrilling than i expected it to be.

It reminds a lot of a clockwork orange but this one definitely became my favorite Kubrick now

    Another Round

What i liked about this one is that i really cared about Mads Mikkelsen as Martin. Great performance and the scene were he meets his divorced wife again, because he misses her, was so hard to watch because it felt so realistic and authentic.

  • No Time to Die

    No Time to Die

    Some good shots
Two great fight scene (1. Forest, 2. Longshot in the end)
Innovative but predictable ending with missed potential
Why are all my post-pandemic films, i watched in cinema, so disappointing

    No time to die:
    Action scene
    Exposition (+ unfunny jokes)

    Good action scene

    Predictable end

Also, i really didn't like Hans Zimmer's Soundtrack. Especially the end when the music…

I'm glad that this didn't make me sad, but thankful. There's so much to say about this topic, but instand I'll just mention one simple thing:

  • House of Flying Daggers

    House of Flying Daggers

I don't know why but this movie split me a lot. My rating went up and down a lot

First half and i was literally already writing a review with a 1/5 Rating.
Then the mid twist happened and it was 3.5/5.
    Then 2/5. Then 4/5. Then 2/5 and now I'll just give it a 3/5.

This is so unbelievably predictable and unpredictable at the same time!
My major problem with this is that it just didn't feel like Xiao…

    Tuesday, 28. Sep.:
    1. Episode: 3.8/5
    2. Episode: 4.3/5
    3. Episode: 3.9/5

    Wednesday 29. Sep.:
    4. Episode: 4.3/5
    5. Episode: 4/5
    6. Episode: 4.3/5
    7. Episode: 3.7/5
    8. Episode: 3.8/5 (kinda predictable)
    9. Episode: 4.3./5

The first episode we get a good insight in everyone's life as far as i can remember. Nothing special. While watching i noticed that i really have a soft spot for characters, who are addicted to gambling. Best example being Howie in Uncut Gems.

  • Malmousque

I loved it. That's the exact type of direction, cinematography and plot i love.

Better summer vibe than call me by your name. Some shots very Wes Anderson-esque (good thing!) and this movie feels so alive

    The Quiet Family

    This was entertaining and hilarious.

Having 송상호 (Song Kang-Ho) & 최민식(Choi Mik-Sik) in these roles is such a dream.

And this is btw one of the most authentic portraits of a family in film
