The Empire Strikes Back 1980
[Theatrical version.] The only STAR WARS movie I'd call one of my favourite films. Just a rousing, clear, and expertly-crafted adventure. Builds so well on its predecessor and deepens the narrative with some melancholy undercurrents and ups the ante with melodramatic twists and reveals. Superb.
