i’d watch a low key, humanist rom com starring John Cassvettes and Mia Farrow. such organic chemistry, great banter between the two 
the last ten minutes are stellar. Farrows face gives you everything. she looks like she wants to die, this whole pregnancy has been leading to this. horrifying. 
maternity, i think, is pretty universal desire. a motivation that is easy to comprehend regardless of age race or gender. the loss of motherhood attracts sympathy like bees to honey. which is my guess why this film has stayed in the conversation for as long as it has
