It's a bear.
Leaving aside the anxiety and paranoia I had during and after, I think this really rings in the future. What is to come in cinema when looking at the next decade? Ari Aster and Florence Pugh show us they’re not only here to stay but what we have at the peak in this fresh crop of talent. Aster and Pugh are gonna have long, fruitful careers and this is only the beginning it’s a gut feeling. Regardless if they work together again, what they’ve accomplished here is nothing short of spectacular. A Bergman and Lynch inspired fever dream, Wizard of Oz with shades of Modern Romance. Aster has a lot to say about the grieving process and co dependence and maybe he isn’t done talking about it
