I was really getting into this film. I was enjoying it quite a bit. But that all came to a crashing halt.
I had about 40 minutes to go, and, like I said, I was enjoying the film, and I was eager to see how it would conclude. But then my friend starts texting me and I had to keep pausing the movie. It felt like a bit. Every single time I would hit play, BOOM, screen lights up with a text. So that went on for about 10 minutes until I eventually was able to continue watching. I was at the part where the guys are hoisting the money bags up the hill. Affleck and Isaac are sitting together. Then, my Dad comes up to my room. He asks what I’m up to. I say I’m watching Triple Frontier. He sounds quite excited as he had already watched it and liked it. The screen is paused on Affleck, and out of nowhere, my Dad points to him and says “He’s about to get done in.” I just look at him, rather shocked more than anything. He covers his mouth, realising what he just said. He then says “I’ll say no more.” He goes to leave the room and then delivers the fatal blow by saying “You don’t see him die in a lot of his films.” I just sat there, trying to comprehend what had just happened. I couldn’t quite believe that he did me so fucking awful. I tried to think of what I did to deserve that. I couldn’t believe it. It’s not even like he said “Is this the bit where.....” He fucking told me what was about to happen and just killed the moment. To be honest, I found it quite funny, but at the same time, I was annoyed. I did watch the rest. But I was just done.
