not bad!! i enjoyed this film about as much as i thought i would, john woo certainly delivered on the premise. there were a few points where i felt the story dragging a little, but it was never boring. joel kinnaman is a hell of a leading man, his facial performance and physicality really pulled the whole movie together. genuinely really killer casting, i can see why he got the part. the whole movie hinges on kinnaman selling the part…
jaw-dropping, genuine fucking masterclass in kaiju cinema. one of, if not THE best human storyline in any godzilla film. one of the most emotionally investing and triumphant films of the year and of the 'zilla franchise. the entire cast is so easy to cheer on and the dramatic highs and lows of the story are perfect. incredible performances throughout and magnificent use of the iconic score. the godzilla design in this rules so fucking hard, every creative choice made in this picture was just so inspired. dare i say, a perfect blockbuster??
